Orrin Banta, B.A.

Title: Event and Data Coordinator

Orrin’s primary role is to coordinate the logistical aspects of Strategies Center training events and other projects, and to provide administrative and clerical support to other Strategies Center staff members. This job entails negotiating contracts for venues and catering; event promotion; creating, updating, and maintaining event records and training materials; managing event registration; processing and tracking revenue and expenditures associated with training events; making travel arrangements; producing statistical reports for Strategies staff and grantors; and database maintenance. He has been instrumental in the development of numerous training programs including Family Economic Success and the Sustainability Project.

Orrin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University, Chico and has experience working for both private and public agencies. Prior to coming to Strategies Center, he was employed for several years by the Superior Court of California, County of Butte in various administrative capacities, including coordinating Butte County’s drug court programs. Earlier in his career, Orrin performed economic, demographic, and opinion research and analysis as an independent consultant and as an employee of a local research and consulting firm. In addition, he has several years experience working in the restaurant industry.

In his time off, Orrin enjoys hiking and looking for gold in California’s Mother Lode country, reading, writing, cooking, and spending time with his children.
